Social media and Accessibility

Presenter(s)

Having a fully accessible website is extremely important when it comes to digital accessibility, but the easiest and most effective way to get your organization’s name out to the masses, is through social media. With over 3 billion people around the world using platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, it’s no secret that social media marketing is important for any organization. Leveraging the most widely used social media platforms helps you connect with your audience, increase your brand awareness as well as boost potential leads and sales. Being active on social media not only allows you to connect with your audience but for your audience to connect with you.

When you take the time to make sure the images, videos and other content you share are accessible, you send a positive message about your values as an organization that can truly make you stand out among the crowd. Together, we will go through each of these four social media platforms, and walk through the steps needed to create more accessible content.

I have supplied a google doc for all of you filled with resources and more information about today's talk.
